Hey

Anyone know where I can get the compressed wood dust firelights like you get with a BGE, but without BGE tax on top (i.e. unbranded)? Heaven forbid a petrochemical comes near the little green egg!

I think Tesco used to do them as value firelighters, or something? Can't find them now.

cheers

Ben

I use these: http://www.landmann.de/landmann/en/acce ... ing-blocks

But the place I usually get them from (http://www.planetbarbecue.co.uk) is out of stock & has been for a while.

Screw up a bit of news paper and add a small amount of veg' oil and this will get the charcoal going.

I find this adds a funny taste and smell but kitchen roll doesn't when soaked in a little oil, the landmann cubes are good if you can track them down. Failing that my back up is an electric paint stripper.
