Eventually got some good strong ones from this company. Alot cheaper than some of the others. And reasonable delivery price to N.I. :D

I went round to see Paul to ask him about Slam latches and he put me on to Oxford Hardware, he did supply me with the latches for the fire door though. The main thing as it turned out was that the slam latch is mainly used by refrigeration manufacturers.

What a small world.

A small world indeed. I bought 3 of the smaller adjustable latches. They're just a nice size for smoker doors. Ideally I would have liked to use horizontal adjustable clamps, but they're like £30 each.

Get your drift, I went round to local hardware, asked for toggle latches (as I thought they were named on the internet) and they asked me, "what are they?"......there's me trying to explain what this thing does with me hands   .......should have went in and asked for a slam latch ;)
