Judging Criteria

HI BBQS

Is there any chance of giving a basic guide on what the judges are looking for. Having been a judge for the last two Comps I feel some competitors would benefit from some guidance on flavour, and presentation, obviously personal preference has an influence but the base criteria is the same e.g. how to Cut, rules on pooling, even clean boxes, all make a difference.

Hiya Tom,

We are slowly working on the judges catagory at the bottom of the page which covers judges opinions on their submitted boxes, i agree a summary would be a usefull additional, i will email our head judge and ask her to post a summary.
