Hi All, Newbie from Kent

Postby Chardleeder » 01 Sep 2013, 15:28

Hi all,

Quite new to Low and Slow, but am loving it... I have a weber Kettle at mo but am looking in to getting an offset next.

Dad of 2, work in a cinema and love eating in the BBQ places springing up all over town.

Hope to get lots of tips and share info and experience.

Doing a nice roast chicken on the grill at the mo...

Best

So what BBQ places have you eaten in? What did you think of the food that they were serving?

Hi Eddie,

My 2 fav's at the moment are Dukes Brew and Que

http://dukesbrewandque.com/

really good local brewed Ale and Beer, and great ribs... really nice atmosphere.

but my top restaurant and the moment it is Pitt Cue

http://www.pittcue.co.uk/home/

it may seem a lttle pretentious but the food is just so good. The beef ribs were amazing, such a deep bark but red in the middle and melt in the mouth, last time we went they had a "Jowl Stumpet" on, it was pulled jowl meat, covered in bread crumbs and deep fried into a crockett... it was one of the most tastiest things ever! Their potato skins are the best you'll ever have... the skins are left over from the bone marrow mash they make and then they add pulled pork in they own sauce with a little cheese and sour cream... and something that makes them all most additive... the cook book has just been released, its worth a look.

Don't get much of a chance to get to London these days but they would be the only two I would dine at. Don't worry It wasn't some sort of test about your taste in Que.

Looking forward in reading your post fella.
