Cant believe it, after 25+ years of BBQ ing found a site with lots of people sharing my passion! Was looking to step up a gear and had thoughts on competing as it has to be the ultimate sport, come last still win a prize, BBQ/Smoked food! Didn't realise was so much going on out there and found you fellas ont tinternet, but so good to see the brits competing with the Europeans and Yanks. Eaten a lot of great BBQ/Smoked food in the USA and man its serious! 3 years of trial and error smoking stuff on kettle and gas barbys, last year ( best barby year for a long time) built MK1 of UDS worked great. MK2 version in design stage with thoughts of pellet hopper and chrome exhausts. Love the build process and messin with various food related outdoor cooking, built tandoori oven in an oil drum,( MK2 version of that rattlin round) tandoori chicken straight out the tandoor then onto smokin BBQ is good! (set fire to more nan bread than we eat its like putting your hand down a dragons throat, might also be the beer).Wood fired Pizza oven half built. Grow and smoke chillis, garlic, toms and spices over cherry and oak makes ace rubs and mean sauces. Any advice on competing greatly received as you guys on here know your stuff. Nice day forecast Saturday get your Barbys out!
