Hello from Portsmouth

Postby DeepThought » 27 Mar 2015, 20:50

Well, the clocks go forward this weekend and that means it's BBQ season in my household.

Just dusted off the Weber and started the season with a whole chicken with my own spice rub and smoked over beechwood.

Anyway, it was so good that I thought I should join up and share the joy with a few others.

Here's to a long (and dry) spring & summer.

If I had my way I'd be be doing my Christmas turkey on there, but the Mrs is a bit of a traditionalist.

I'll win her over in the end.

Hi, it's great to see a there's a few of us representing for Pompey.

Someone needs to organise a cook off on Southsea common, if nothing else just to show the masses with their £1.99 disposables and a pack of Richmond sausages what they're missing out on.

Sounds like a great idea to me..

Also does anyone know where it is possible to purchase Brioche Buns, So far I have tried bookers, the artisan bakery on Elm Grove, Morrisons, Lydl and ASDA

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Ideally if possible wholesale but for now I am happy just find a supplier to test some ideas out

Many Thanks,

Costco have quite an extensive bakery, failing that have you tried the big food wholesalers like Brakes or 3663?
