Found this forum looking for a new BBQ (and here is a hint to my question),
Originally from South Africa, been in the UK 15 years now. A massive fan of having a "Braai" as we call it back home in SA.. My personal preference is using hard wood for coals and to add a bit more flavour to the meat.
I have to admit I am rather excited to have found this forum and will be giving it the attention it deserves over the next couple of days.. Looking forward to chatting with you all and sharing some recipes and what not. Firstly let me address the question I have right now…
I am a civilian instructor with the RAF cadets. I have been tasked to purchase a BBQ for the squadron. We have been given a small grant and I am looking for the best deal on a gas BBQ I can find. We regularly have events for 30+ people (sometimes 60) so it has to be a 6 burner if possible. Size is key here..
I have / am doing my research online, but was hoping to use your local knowledge and expertise for recommendations on where best to purchase a BBQ from. As I am sure you can appreciate being essentially a voluntary organisation funds are tight, so I am looking for the best deal I can find and provide the squadron with a BBQ that we can use for many years.
Any advice or recommendations would be very warmly received!
Thank you and hope you all have a most enjoyable and BBQ filled weekend!
Here is a little tongue in cheek video of BBQ (Braai) Etiquette…. This explains the south African love of Having a Braai very well
