Not sure if it was the chicken I've not had any problems with Aldi Free Range birds so can only guess at whart the problem was,

The bird was really moist, just the legs were tough. I have another one to do this weekend with
a jerk marinade.
Do people turn the bird around as it cooks? When I roast a chicken I do 20 mins on each side and then the
remaining time with the breast up. When I beer canned this one I turned it once. I had one scoop of charcoal
on one side of the weber, should I put charcoal on both sides?

Ahhh I always split the charcoal on either side for indirect cooking which evens out the temperature.
