Hi there I'm Ben, I live in Ripley near the derbyshire/notts border and love having a bbq and want to take it further, maybe eventually once I have mastered smoking enter competitions.
I like the look of offset smokers and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good model? Thanks in advance

Hi Ben,
Welcome to the forum. We're just down the road in Leicester and there is another team on here just up the road from you in Worksop, so if you need any help just shout. We have a great offset we use, a cactus jack.
Cheers

Scott.

Welcome onboard Ben,

You have a decent Butchers not far from you called Owen Taylors, they should be able to supply you with the cuts of meat you need to practice with.

I am from the other team not far from you.

Enjoy the forum, look forward to your posts. If we can help, just shout.

Cheers

Adie

Welcome to the Forum, I would highly recommend coming to the competitions if only to meet everyone, they are a great bunch - and someone once said to me, come along, meet some friends and cook some food, and if you like the taste of it, submit it and see how you do :D (think it was Adie :) )
