Welcome Matt. Brixton is an old stomping ground of mine. Plenty of good produce available on the market. In particular look for a Colombian store selling home made chorizo and queso fresco.

Welcome matt.
You have joined a great site, with lots of genuine BBQ nuts, who want to spread the word. Just ask them a question and they pile in to solve any question or confusion you have.
As a fellow Newbie, you seem to have picked out a great range of starter kit. Only thing I would add is make sure you have a good set on tongs (you can get them for a tenner) and a box nitrile gloves really make the cleaning and rubbing of your chosen victim a lot more convenient.
Haven't got a marinade injector yet, keep us informed as you use it.
Between now and the weekend get a couple of chucks or a couple of racks of baby back ribs and a store of base spices for rubs and enjoy this smokin' world of BBQ that seems to have been hidden from us East of Ponders, for far too long.
