hello from alan thebarbecuemaster in Arizona

Postby thebarbecuemaster » 19 Apr 2012, 10:38

hi everyone,

My name is Alan I live in Arizona in the United States and I'm happy to see that Bbq is alive and well and growing in Great Britain. I have been Bbqing since the 1980s and love to smoke pork ribs and brisket. I use a Weber smoker,Weber grill and for camping the Weber go anywhere grill.
I like to make bbq sides like Cole-slaw and Bbq-beans. Yes i have grilled a rattlesnake but they are better of fried in batter with salsa.
I like to cook Thai food because it is hot and spicy. When I'm not Bbqing I'm out hiking or working on my website on Bbq which i started in 2003 but recently put it back on line. I also like astronomy and ham radio but have not been to active on the air.Nice to meet all of you. cheers!

Alan

Hi Alan,

Good to see another Arizonan on this great overseas forum. I am from Tucson, what part of AZ do you hail from? Do you do comps? If so, are you doing the Arizona BBQ Festival later this month? It's gonna be a big one, they have 80 teams last I heard.
