Raging Newbie

Hi All!

I'm almost 30, based in the midlands and love BBQ! I got my hands on an offset Tennessee smoker last week, along with a couple of books, whiskey soaked chips and several bags of aged oak! Everything but the meat you could say!

I've got a pork shoulder covered in rub sat in the fridge as I type and am looking forward eating it much later this eve!

This is my first step into the world of home smoking, so am looking forward to gently extracting the wealth of knowledge from all you fine BBQ maestro's!

All the best

PB

Don't forget that provided it's edible your first cook is a success. Take notes of times and temps and as Steve says in an associated topic the feel of the meat. Don't rush it, stay cool save the beers (bar a couple ;) ) for the feast to come :D
