Aye up. I'm Steve and I love food and wine.

I've cooked for years, but only dabbled with portable barbecues and cheap supermarket jobs for a long time until I decided to 'get serious' a few years ago.

My main barbecues are a Weber 57cm One-Touch Premium and a Weber 57cm One-Touch Deluxe.

I suppose my background is in food and drink, but I also have a degree in theology, so I have a trained background in associated studies like philosophy and logic, which I apply to pretty much everything.

Including the barbecue.

Welcome - am up in York-area of Yorkshire a fair bit as my in-laws live there and sister & brother-in-law are in Thirsk. Looking forwards to seeing some cooks!

Cheers.

I'm from York originally - moved to LOndon to do my degree and post-grad, then have lived in Huddersfield/worked in Wakefield for the last 18 years.

I hope to learn a lot about barbecuing techniques, recipes, etc. Hope I can add just a little to the forums. I have a great souvlaki recipe that works with chicken, pork and lamb, and a few other bits, too..
