Hi,

I wish I'd found this place before building my UDS, I could have saved a load of cash with all the uk specific deals and ideas posted on here!

I followed a U.S. site's instructions instead. Good clear instructions, but I probably ended up spending more than I needed to.

I did find a cheap source of drums though for those in SE London - I'll share contact details in the relevant thread.

Looking forward to reading through the forums and picking up some tips. The first thing I need to decide is whether I really need a pitmaster IQ or not. I'll give it til the end of the day before I've caved in and ordered one!

I suppose they're frowned upon by the purists for being a shortcut?

Not on this forum, if you go to the comps, you'll see plenty of them and similar devices there, and they are a boone for home use. There is even a Topic on making your own pit controller viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1690&hilit=controller
