Weber Fan in Oxfordshire

Postby Twen » 15 May 2014, 08:36

Hi all,

I am a massive Weber fan and just got a WSM 47cm for my birthday and based in Oxfordshire.

I have a Smokey Joe, Genesis and Weber Fireplace and have attended the Weber Grill Academy courses, Thrill of the Grill PT1 and PT2 and more recently the American course. Look to be going on the Smoking course in July as this is all new to me....

First smoking using WSM this weekend going for some ribs.

Cheers

Hi Twen,

Welcome! I'm going on the Weber Academy Thrill of the Grill Pt 2 in June, can't wait!
I was also deciding whether to go for the American course also. Could you give me more of an idea on what to expect and the kind of things you cook please? Thanks.

I've done most of the Weber courses but not the American one. What's that like and how does it compare to say Thrill Of The Grill 2

Hi all,

Been busy smoking several times since so all good and getting the hang of the slow n low process.

With regards to the American Course, it was pretty good although I think we were one of the first groups trying the recipes out but all very professional and learnt a lot from the day as per usual from the Weber Grill Academy.

I won't spoil the surprise of what is cooked on the day but needless to say all the dishes had an all american flavour to them from starter, through to dessert.... :D
