Charcoal fan

Postby tmitch » 18 May 2014, 17:26

Good afternoon all, I've been BBQ'ing for several years now and am a total Charcoal fan. I found you guys after doing some research on BBQ and outdoor kitchens. After using my trusted Outback bakehouse charcoal grill for years its time for a change as its very worn out and I nearly all the parts I'd need to sort it out are discontinued.

I've been searching for a new charcoal grill that would fit into an outdoor style kitchen and last us for years. I've seen the webers and I know they get good reviews but I just dont' fancy a round grill and they are not well suited to fitting in a kitchen. The ideal would be a rectangular hooded BBQ but for me it must be charcoal. I have recently found the Napoleon Mirage charcoal grill and hoped people will be able to give me an honest review as to if its worth it. The link is here:-

The Napoleon is a nice grill, a shop local to me had had them in the past, it's a big unit and well made. That said however it's not airtight and would be similar to a gas grill for low and slow, not sure what your style is but if that's what you want to do then something like an Egg or Joe might be a better option.
