HELLO FROM SYDNEY - USING MY BBQ BACK IN THE UK

Hi there,

I've been living in Sydney for nearly 2 years, and I'll be returning to the UK for good in July/August.

My culinary life has been TRANSFORMED in australia by a) the good weather and b) the amount of BBQing this has allowed me. I never use the oven for cooking meat now.

I really want to bring back my trusty gas barbie back with us; it's currently fitted directly into a mains outlet on the deck at the back of the house, which is SO convenient. It has a bayonet-type fitting at the end of the hose.

I'm sure there must be loads of experts here who can advise; i'd really like to get some builders to put a similar gas mains outlet in our deck back in the UK.

will this work? many thanks for your time. cheers Dominic

Hello and welcome

No reason it can't be done but there are a few constraints. Firstly what gas is your house in Oz running, regular mains gas (natural gas) or propane. If it's propane then you would need to get different gas jets to suit natural gas, they may not exist as mains gas BBQ 's are not popular in the UK.

I would recommend finding the name of a local Corgi approved trades person and email then the instruction manual for your grill

Good luck with the move back to the UK
