Hi all.
Im Looking to build a reverse flow offset smoker. not had much experience in building a smoker so I'm looking for a few pointers. I've done a lot of research into making one and found a few websites that have given me a few pointers into the sizes i need to make mine.

Hi. I'm new here too. I am also planning a build, ive found lots of useful info on youtube. Mines going to be made from a 47kg gas cylinder. Ive picked up a temp gauge from amazon for about 7 pounds. I'm a fabricator by trade so I'm lucky in a sense that I have access to all the tools at work. Good luck with your project

Ahh very nice I'm also a fabricator. So same boat I've got the laser company we sub out all our laser cutting, bending and rolling to cut all the parts and roll up the main tank. Should be a deviant size one but I've already started designing one that goes on a trailer. Mainly just as a dream. How did u calculate the sizes?

I have scanned over a web page ( can't remember the name sorry) that gave you the firebox dimensions. It was roughly 300mm of the 1200mm tank I am using. I'm not really that concerned with it as I am thinking of using a large firebox with a large grate in it, using the minion method with tee plates to burn my coals asbi understand that reloading and stokingvcan be a pain. But still undecided. I was also thinking about attaching a grill on the back for flash cooking of burgers and steaks and such like.
We have a laser at our place but using it could get the operator in hot water so im gonna plasma most of my gear. Your build sounds like it will be sweet. Let me know how it turns out pal.

yeah ive found that one. looks very well thought out. there's also a guide to the lessons he learnt attached at the end of that guide. pretty good read
