I registered here a good while ago (2 years ago!) and I don't recall every introducing myself back then.. and as you can clearly see I didn't really stick around to talk
! I was in a bit of a BBQ slump, I'd spent a year or so playing with my ProQ AMIGO which my wife (girlfriend at the time!) bought me as a gift. The lack of bottom air control meant I was getting wildly inconsistent temperature changes throughout my cooks and I had to constantly change my fuel during the longer sessions.. I got irritated and promised myself an upgrade.
Since then I've not really spent a huge amount of time at the BBQ, I've simply been waiting for the time when I could afford to upgrade to something better and 2 days ago it was delivered!
I picked up a large BGE which despite an issue with the table being broken on arrival, looks amazing and if it wasn't for a stupidly busy weekend I'd be sat in the garden now getting the thing started for its first cook!
I assume I'm going to need a lot of help moving from the Amigo to a BGE but hopefully I can get some advice from here and maybe some people in the local area as interested in BBQ as I am!
The only question I have is what do I try first
