Hi from Gateshead

Postby garymac » 27 Jan 2011, 11:10

Hello all.

I am Gary from sunny Gateshead. Not your fine weather BBQ'r but a nut case who astounds the neighbours by starting up a smoker at 6am on a snow covered Saturday morning type.

I am a fan of charcoal not gas and have a Weber one touch gold, a go-anywhere charcoal and a Brinkmann Smoker (purchased from Costco years ago and still going strong)

Still trying to convert the families taste to the other aspects of the grill apart from the standard chicken drumstick or burger.

Welcome aboard and best of luck in your mission to convert the family.

My wife is almost a veggie and it's a bitter pill to swallow for me.

Yup she reckons she could quite happily go veggie and she doesn't eat many different varieties of meat.

BBQing is a much needed distraction living in Gateshead I assume... It was quite possibly one of the most depressing places I've ever been too. And in live near Blackpool!
