Greetings from Hampstead, Maryland!

I am Steve Rogers the owner of The BBQ Equipment Store and also the Pitmaster for 5-0 BBQ Competition BBQ Team.

My mate Adie has me schooled in the Queens English so I should be able to move around the forum with ease. I also have been trained by my mate Jim who is from Bolton.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard cock - (as you've been schooled by a Bolton lad you'll know this is a term of endearment rather than an insult)

Thanks for the compliment Steve!

Me mate Jim was a Bobby with the North Yorkshire Police, now he is a copper with me over here. He has trained me to be for what I like to call being bi-lingual. Most times I am the only one that knows what the hell the bloke was talking about.

Funny thing is that even before I met Jim I was a fan of British culture. I love British humor you guys have a dry wit to your humor.

Some of my favorite shows include: Wheeler Dealers and Are you being served. I have also seen a few episodes of the Sweeney and sometimes listen to Squeeze-Cool for cats. Frankly Ed China is the only person I would want under my bonnet. That man can do a wonders with a can of spray paint on a dented wing of a dodgy motor.

I applaud all of you that you share the same passion that I have "BBQ". Even though at times we laugh because we don’t understand what the other one said. We still share a common interest and belong to a brotherhood. I have become acquainted with folks like Adie, Cuan and Scott all great people that I would love to share my pit with during a competition or at my home.

I too have had some of your fine wares (ordered via Adie) a Maverick ET-732 and a Tel Tru.

It's great to have you on here and it's equally great to have a good supplier in the US for us to get toys from ;)

Hat off and tugging the forelock to the Police Force on both sides of the pond....a very underpaid, highly stressful and highly professional body.
