Weber Grill Academy

Postby Leviakhan » 19 Jun 2014, 13:26

I was looking at going to one of the courses at the Weber Grill Academy when I saw this:

"Due to relocation of the Grill Academy premises to London in 2015, we will not be running courses after August, 2014 at the Oxford site"

Not sure if I want to travel to London to do a BBQ course!

Anyone know of anywhere else that does this sort of thing that isn't in London?

How about Surrey? Probably further but Toby has ran classes in the past and from what I understand they are better than the Weber ones if you want to do more than just grill. I haven't been though but worth asking the question.

Unfortunately I don't have a recommendations but after having done two workshops this year at the Oxford venue I think its a real same they are moving to London and I live in NW London!

Being that the courses are quite popular I can only think that the reason is for a bigger venue and get more people through.

I'm not sure I could put up the the commuting into town (exact location of new venue doesn't seem to have been posted yet) so will also be looking elsewhere for any future workshops. Therefore I'll be interested to see what suggestions are posted.

Yes does seem a shame. Have done a few courses with them and thoroughly enjoyed them. Can be a bit of a drive though

Just seen a tweet stating they are staying open until the 30th September so September courses are now available.

This is a shame, but i guess its for reasons already mentioned- closer to public transport, get more people in.

I think its West London they are going.

They are simply wanting a bigger facility I understand.
Shame as Oxford is a beautiful setting.
