Postby Smoky Joe » 19 Apr 2012, 13:07

What is your opinion?

Can you get a picture of the air vent at the firebox end as we'll need to see what that looks like to match it with a forced air system.

Off the shelf, you'll need to ship in from the US. They're a doddle to build using parts from eBay though.

I can point you in the right direction for all the parts and give you easy instructions on the build. Need to see your intakes though in order to visualise the blower adapter.

That should be fairly easy to build a blower adapter for. You might need to drill a couple of holes for mount points though.

I dont think that would be a problem just as long as it works. What did you have in mind Steve.

What you want is an impeller type fan, something like this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250567300503? ... 1801wt_952

You mount this using a stainless steel dog bowl and some sheet ally, then you build a PID controller, like in this thread viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1690

It's doable for about £50 but will likely cost a little more.
