It depends on how they want to use it - I got a GMG as I really wanted massive (lazy) convenience. It truly is like an outdoor oven and we use it all the time

TBH I'll be pushing my GMG pellet grill, as I love my Danny Boy!

Just thought it fair to offer some decent alternatives :D

Who's selling that? AmericanBBQ? Any idea what the price point is on it? I fancy one of those myself :D

Here's a video of one if anyone's interested > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaHgDoet9dg

I saw the direct flame kit in the video. That looked pretty cool. Pretty sure some remote control system was available when I bought mine, but not bothered about it as it's so easy to use. Just contacted americanbbq so see if they have any updates :D

Here's some info about the wifi:
Stage 1(August 1, 2014): POINT-TO-POINT. This will allow customers to
control the grill at home with a SmartPhone after downloading GMG's free
App. The App allows you to set parameters for grills, such as time or food
probe temperature, with as much iteration as they want. For example, you
could instruct the grill to smoke a turkey at 150 for 4 hours, then turn
itself up to 325 and roast until the probe temp reaches 180, and then turn
down to 150 to keep it warm. You can then save these instructions in a "Pellet
Profile" and use them again and again. Essentially, then, this makes GMG's
controller programmable. We currently support iPhone and Android platforms.
Those customers who do not have a SmartPhone of the appropriate platform can
purchase one from our dealers with the App pre-loaded for $50 MSRP (These will be
available in September).

Stage 2 (approx. January 1, 2015): INTERNET VIA GMG'S SERVER. Our
customers will be able to connect to our server to download controller program updates
or to troubleshoot any difficulties automatically. This feature will make
it extremely easy for your customers to identify a problem, classify it as
either operator error or a defect, and correct it quickly.

Stage 3 (approx. May 1, 2015): SOCIAL NETWORKING VIA OUR SERVER. Our
customers can exchange Pellet Profiles, recipes, cooking techniques, and
general BBQ chatter with others in the GMG community.

It is imperative to note: We are doing all of this on the back end. You will not have to
pay for any additional hardware or software updates in the future. The WiFi enabled device you
purchase today will have many future updates at absolutely no cost to you. There will be a lot to
look forward to and in GMG form; we will be counting on our users to help us make our APP better
and better.

Ok get that but at the price of the other GMG that's being talked about the Kamado Joe Classic could be a viable option if the BGE is too much money, it's equally as good

If you are talking about the GMG Davy Crockett, they're available in the UK, now. I have one stored in my garage! :D
