The shocking levels of customer service you get in the UK

Was hoping it would be a while before I had to post my first moan/rant, but alas.
As some of you will already know, I recently ordered the big WSM. This was from Lords of Notting Hill, after they specifically told me the item was in stock and would be delivered in 3-5 working days. When I chased it up after 7 days, they told me that in fact it wasn't in stock and they had placed an order with the supplier in the US (Weber) for some more units.
"so how long do you estimate that will take?"
"They should be with us by late July"
"right, so when had you been intending to let me know that...?"
FFS
So I cancelled that order and then ordered from garden4less.co.uk. It was £45 more expensive on their wesbite, but they agreed a price match to the price that Lords of Notting Hill were offering and def had one in stock, so I said fair play and ordered.... and was then charged the list price (ie £45 too much). Mumma mia.
Anyway, after being promised next day delivery this time, my WSM eventually arrived today (after 5 days!).... with a grate support missing.
So I now have a 95% assembled WSM sitting on my patio completely redundant and unuseable. Can't wait to have yet another discussion with them tomorrow about how they're gonna sort that one out.
Gotta laugh I spose. Maybe I should give up at this point.
So has anyone had to order missing/replacement parts from Weber before? I might go straight to the UK office of Weber as it might just prove an easier solution at this point.
