Igloo cool boxes from Costco

Postby Swindon_Ed » 23 Aug 2011, 08:48

Has anyone been to Costco recently and seen the price of the big Igloo cool boxes?

I need another one and was thinking that i might get one of these but i'm not sure how much they are compared to the one i've been using and the nearest Costco is 45 mins away.

If anyone knows and could let me know that would be great.

Our Costco no longer has these items in as the "summer season" has ended, maybe call them first, they are a good size though! Looking out the window I can see why they have changed their stock! :(

Not sure about now, but I paid about £40 for mine last year and it is awesome....I mainly use it for drinks for various parties during the summer and the ice lasts for about a week in it in full sun.

I also use it when I defrost the freezers and have had no probs with the already frozen food defrosting in it.

Just arrived back from a visit to costco and I pick up fantastic deal on a igloo cool box. The one that I picked up was a mere 85 litre with wheels for about £40. But they had even bigger cool boxes that were about 200 litres with wheels.
They did seem to have a lot of interest from the customers, so if your thinking of getting one. I would get yourself down there a bit quick.

Can you remember how much the 200L one was....this would make an awesome mash tun for the homebrew escapades?

Awesome. I'm passing the Watford costco on Wednesday so I'll pop in and get that same £40 one.

They are a good buy, we bought one a couple of years ago from costco mainly for camping, it also now gets used as giant beer/cider/wine/vodka cooler on summer days and a storage box in the shed over winter.
