I've been going on for a year, now, about getting my garden made over, and having a proper BBQ area. Now it is finished (aside from planting and new furniture), thought I'd post some pictures.

Lots of storage room in there - out of sight in the roof, there are several heavy duty hooks for hanging racks and stuff from; and I am going to mount a rod with butchers hooks somewhere to the side for cooking implements. The tub underneath the cooker is one of my pellet containers, which may well end up all stacked alongside, rather than cluttering the garage.

We haven't bothered ducting the chimney yet, and so far it hasn't been an issue - it will be, of course, if I close up the front with doors. There was a tentative plan to duct in (and then out) of a box built just under the roofline, as a cold smoker. However, I have recently bought a ProQ cold smoke generator (which I am having fun with), so that isn't a priority.

Really great concept, looks like it's a well thought out concept, all you need is a wet bar to round it out. BTW go for proper utensil hooks (Ikea do them real cheap and the racks as well, although hanging rods for wardrobes work well) rather than butcher's hook which are more expensive, being stainless steel rather than alloy, and VERY VERY sharply pointed a consideration with young inquisitive hands. If we ever met at a comp I'll show you me scars!!!!

Thanks for the tip, Keith. As it happens, on looking today, I can see the hooks I bought (from my local builder's shop) are round-tipped, so not proper butcher's hooks; though I have to admit, I didn't check before buying them!

As mentioned in an earlier post, the shelter is actually sold as a log store. However, if anyone should decide to copy me, I should add that, as bought, the roof was a little low for my height (6' 2"), so my guys raised it a few inches. As you can see, it is not a noticeable bodge, as they managed to steal a strip of timber from the roof to clad the added inches either side.
