It was a good trip, pretty average results, although Steves sauce came second overall which was great!. unfortunately my family was ill, including my daughter being taken in to hospital so my mind was elsewhere and came home a day early.

Appreciate Ray putting me in touch with Creekstone Farms and Christine for sending us a couple of briskets. If they start shipping to the UK it will be good for everyone that competes.

It was at the Mandalay Bay opposite their conference center. It was interesting because they have some of the same problems that we have been experiencing, ie people walking about on the Saturday asking if it was closed because people werent starting to cook until the evening when the show was closed. This is one of the reasons why i introduced Ready Steady Q to give the public something to watch before the Pitmasters kick off

Yeah I was surprised at that, although I think a few of them were just looking to bum some free BBQ and were disappointed that there wasn't any on offer. One rather large lady springs to mind

I've always fancied doing cooking demos and the like at the comps on the first day. Would be good to engage with Joe public that way.

Only 350 tickets or so available, apparently 3000 people were hitting refresh trying to get tickets.

It's a shame, I fancied going along.

I may be able to help you boys out, i got 3 tickets yesterday, got home all chuffed with myself and asked the missus if she fancied it and she replied "DAN! we are going to twickenham that day for the Army v Navy rugby match"
Gutted! Really gutted.

So, i have offered them to my mate, but if he declines, would you guys want them? Face value or course ;)
