In typical fashion, a month or so after I buy my ET 732, they release a new version.

Looks lovely.

And the price in the US makes me sick! :P

Yes Geordie it does look swish, and the usage you would get when BBQing the elk, moose and buffalo that roam the north east. The older model will do for us, Elle Macpherson, Christy Brinkley and the like.
Well I can dream...........

I have a link on our website for international orders. http://www.bbqequipmentstore.com/Maveri ... tional.htm

When the 732 came out years ago Adie got a group order together to save on freight. Let me know if you guys want to do something like that again.

I was reading this and know Steve at BBQ Equipment Store will happily ship these out internationally. Then I read further on that Steve says as much. I'd recommend Steve's shop (in the flesh it is a treasure chest of a place) and he knows what to do with the paperwork on the shipment. ;)

Okay I think that's well and truly plugged now. :D Anyone have both Mavericks and can give us a comparison?

I dont have the 733, but have both of the older units. The 732 I found to be significantly better and more robust. At the very least it means you dont need to open the backcover to turn the unit on. I can heartily recommend these, I have been eyeing this one out for awhile, but its a hard spend as the 732 is still perfectly functional and the 73 is used as the backup. To be fair, as a team we dont bother to use the unit for anything else other than monitoring the meat temp as our cookers tend to sit in the 240-250 range. It will mean we can replace 2x ET732's with 1x ET7333 which is quite useful

I bought a 73 from Steve and it does a great job in my opinion. Perfect for my needs at least. The 733 will be good for someone monitoring two levels in a smoker or different meats though.
