Blue bag charcoal on offer at Booker

Two bags for 7.50 each (normal price 8.99 each). All + vat - so you pay 18 pounds for two 12kg bags.

Offer until 30th Sep 2014 (though the website says until 15/07/14).

While not spectacular lump, it works, and happens to be convenient for me to purchase.

Has been on offer at 2 for £15 for a few weeks now. Not bad lumpwood TBH but lots of really large pieces that need breaking down first in to smaller pieces to maintain consistent temperature.

Nightmare to chimney start though (gone back to briquettes for starting it off) as the bags I bought seemed to have lots of trapped gases in them and a full chimney of the lumpwood ended up barely covering the bottom of the chimney when grey. Must have used half a bag of the lumpwood before getting the hint & using briquettes to start!!!

I use this a lot, it does spark a bit, if you give the chimney a shake while filling you can fit a lot more in there and reduce it shrinking down so much.
