Pulled Pork - Dry Rub recipes?

Anyone have good recommendations?
I've tried Meatheads Memphis Dust which worked nicely but would like to experiment with others

Make your own, if you find a rub you like or know of one you like the sound of, go get the spices and do it yourself. Ive only ever bought 1 Rub as I know what I like, learned over time about flavour profiles and now do all my own. We've a comprehensive spice rack that gets used for every day cooking too so it's never a waste

I'm with you on this. Bought ones are very expensive.

Yeah, all rubs I've made are home made...ive just followed the recipe.

Is it just me or do the rubs on battlebox seem a tad expensive?
It's a pity that they don't do smaller sizes for evaluation purposes too.

Yeah be good to get a little sample bag before buying the larger bags.
Everybody has different tastes so buying a big bag and its not liked plus pricey will put people off buying again. I dont just mean Battlebox's rubs or prices but everywhere that sells them, a sample bag at a cheap price i think is great customer service and will bring customers in and back again.
I must admit after talking to Steve that makes those rubs at Battlebox he has put me at ease with buying one of them, his explanation of what's in it, what its for and everything i needed to know in buying a pre made rub has made my mind up with which one to buy. Im sure not every shop selling rubs will be able to give out such knowledge.

My best success uses the 8:3:1:1 ratio mix. For example, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup of Kosher salt, 2 tablespoons of chili powder/paprika mix, and 2 tablespoons spice combination.
I like using Chinese five spice, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme for my spice combination.

am a self confessed salt noob...is Kosher salt better than rock salt/sea salt/table salt? (I feel this could and probably should be a thread in its own right)

Thanks Derrick, this is what I was looking for. I've not tried chinese five spice in my rubs but will give it a go.
