I am toying with the idea of buying a decommissioned Harrier from the Royal Navy with a view to using the down thrust to smoke Briskets.

Any advice?

My uncle worked on Nimrod for years until the recent cuts, now he's working on the scrapping, I'll see if he can half inch an engine for you, save you the outlay on a harrier

Bada Boom Bada Bing!

I was kicking about a decommisioned military vehicle auction site the other week and was in the whole "If I win the lottery, I would buy......"

And...was looking at an ex torpedo boat....then the dog launched (pun intended) himself at my lappy....'I' bid something like 2486 for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily, it was WAY under the minimum bid level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to have a problem that I'd go for a night out, then about £200 worth of stuff from Amazon would turn up by surprise the following week.

Thank god I never found one of those military auction sites
