Hello from Preston

Postby MarkE » 14 Dec 2011, 09:37

hi there! My name is Mark and I live near Preston. I first go into the BBQ scene when I lived in Houston in Texas, and it was soon my favourite type of food. Missing the food that I had out there and hoping to recreate something similar iover here, come rain, wind or shine. Just wish we had some decent BBQ restaurants over here as well!

Hi Mark

It is good to see that there is another person that will BBQ what ever the weather. You should get on well here and welcome.

thanks Gav! Just invested in a weatherproof (hopefully we'll see!!) gazebo in order to be able to do Xmas Day lunch on the BBQ. Everyone thinks I'm mad but I think they're the ones who are mad for not joining in!

Good luck, hopefully you woun't need the gazebo. (I haven't got one and will be cooking over the Xmas period as well). Fingers are crossed for a dry day or two.

Welcome to the forum Mark. We have a member on here who has an excellent BBQ set up down in Brighton. If you are ever down that way look him up BBQ Shack. ;)

hi Mark, like yourself , my love of BBQ started whilst living in Houston. I know that Southern 11 have just opened a restaurant in Manchester but cannot say how it is. Maybe its close enough for you to check out.
