Cash and Carry

Postby philnewts » 22 Jul 2010, 13:07

Hi
Does anyone know how I might be able to register with a cash and carry such as booker with a view of obtaining larger quantities for competitions, events etc.

They appear to require proof of business or charity, is being a start up BBQ team a valid reason - Lol

In the case of Booker, speak to your local branch manager. If you explain that you're a competition BBQ team and say you do charity events as part of the society (ok a bit creative I know) then they are usually pretty accommodating. That's how I got my booker card.

Hi Phil

I just registered with Booker. You have to have your own registered company in order to register. I registered firstly online but I had to take two forms of ID with my company address on and a personal photo ID to my local branch before I could shop there.
Having gained access there I found big 12kg bags of restaurant grade charcoal there at a snip of £7.49 a bag - Bargain!! ;)
