Hello from Aldershot

Postby amishboy » 13 Mar 2013, 11:42

Hello

As an avid griller i have always wanted to try my hand at the low and slow smoking route. I wanted to go the whole hog, excuse the pun, and get a dedicated smoker however I needed a new grill so I have just bought a Weber 57 OTP and will give it a try on this first.

Loving the website and all the advice on it, also love the fact that Tongham seems to be a BBQ hot spot as that's just round the corner.

cheers

Tongham is BBQ Central for the BBBQS & IBQN, it's where training courses and the first comp of the year is traditionally held, it's also where Toby resides

Hello everyone,

I just joined also and rather than make a new thread Ill just post here as I am in Aldershot too.

I am not ashamed to say I have been stalking the forum for a year or so,mostly trying to figure out where to get the more 'American' cuts of beef, but in doing so have somehow managed to convince myself I no longer just want a smoker; I need a smoker in my life.

The fact that I live in flats with a shared garden and that my girlfriend is a vegetarian are not proper excuses to not have one, so here I am...

thanks for the info so far and look forward to it all.

(BTW in the market for a starter smoker preferably a ProQ Frontier...used is good )
