BBQ rubs

Postby CyderPig » 13 Oct 2013, 14:56

Hi All
What is your favorite rub?
Homemade/Bought?
A good friend is in the USA as we speak, he has been steered too: Plowboys bbq, Bovine Bold. Plowboys bbq, Yardbird Rub.
Kick Butt, Rib Rub( Hicory) and Kansas City Championship, Three Little Pigs BBQ Rub.
A nice man in the shop told him they were the Dogs.
Competitors come back please.

Cheers
Si

I like to use a mix of bought and home made rubs depending on what / where i'm cooking.

My favourite bought rubs are the ones made by The Slabs (All of theirs are good) & Cowtown's The Squeal & Sweet Spot rubs.

Slabs, smokin guns and yardbird all rock!

Lotta bull red dirt is a fine rub. Baldridges secret seasoning is a good blender for beef.

I love the JP Custom smoke beef rub. I also use a few Obie cues rubs, their sweet rub is a blinder, sweet n heat is the dogs danglies if you like cinnamon and fajita fabulosa is great too.

The rub I use the most is called Guerrilla Powder. It goes on all of my competition categories. I've heard it will be available for sale in the UK next month.

I know the distributor well Si. He's planning to sell directly bulk bags for comp teams and caterers etc. Website will be up soon.

There's a minimum of two retailers also going to be stocking it at launch, don't think I'm supposed to say who yet though.
