The igloo style ones do look awesome and they make cushions for them so you can use them as a seat

Mine has markings that say 'do not use lid as seat' or something like that, was a but disappointed to be fair.

The igloo seems to fit together more snug to be fair. Thats the one I got shipped in from the states.
It just feels a sturdier beast even though my igloo is smaller than my coleman its heavier.

I use them both as seats.

I'm now looking for a cool box for comps. I'm looking at igloo and coleman, just wondering how people use them for competitions/weekends for holding chilled food. Does anyone use icepacks? Or iceboards, or anything else?

Cheers

I use a coleman for comps. Just chuck in some bags of ice cubes on the Friday and it is still cool by end of comp on Sunday afternoon

OK cool, cheers for that Alan.
I think i'll probably go for a Coleman, they have a lot of support on here.

Thanks again.

I've got 2 igloos for sale. £50 the pair. Big enough for comp meat and beer. Let me know if you're interested.

Not catering quality by any means, but I bought one of these from Costco for about £45 & reviewed really well on keeping hot / cold.

I've not tested how good it is over time but certainly had no issues for 24hrs keeping drinks cold. Bought it mainly for resting meat, but wasn't until I put my first butt in there I realised just how big it was!

Cheers mate, that is super cheap tho - I may buy one just for keeping the cider cold :)

I was really after something huge for semi commercial use. A few more googles and ive found this one

I like the hole in the lid feature

They sold those at costco too - but it's probably too late, way out of season. Not been there in a while, but i bet the xmas stuff is out there already :-)

For those interested, the cool box range is now back in Costco.

Seems like a good price (+ free delivery) for the large Coleman Extreme cooler.
