To be honest, if your old Brinkmann is the ECB - the Smoke n Grill - I think you'll find the OTP better for low n slow. It actually has airflow control as opposed to the "set a fire and pray" approach with the ECB!
57cm is pretty big too, I often cook on my 57cm kettle when I'm just doing a small cut for the family, and can fit a pork butt and a chicken on there.
