Weber Go Anywhere Rotisserie

Postby roycruse » 13 Apr 2014, 11:44

I imported a Weber Go Anywhere from the USA this year to replace my lost one which did me proud for about 8 years.

The new EU version is gash so i paid a bit (quite a bit) over the UK retail price to bring in a good old original version from the other side of the pond.

Been looking for ways to feed large numbers of people at the beach off such a small BBQ and decided a rotisserie was the way to go.
Got a silverside of beef roasting on it as we speak.

That is cool. Is that a standard accessory for the GA?

o, it's home made.

Bought a rotisserie kit including squewer and motor then made the aluminium insert to go between firebox and lid and also made my own counterbalance.

Going to try roasting a pork and beef joint side by side on friday.

If it works I will have food to feed plenty off of a portable BBQ I can take camping or to the beach for the day.

Plan is to have a second set of charcoal in the chimney starter just before I take the meat off. Then while its resting I can get the corn on the cobs on the webers grill.

Grilled corn served with a coating of mayonnaise loaded with chilli powder and salt and pepper is my favourite BBQ food. Almost better than the meat...... Almost!
