I can heartily recommend Vicars game for fresh burgers, expensive but delicious.

Hi,

I think this is probably true of the Vicars shop in Reading town centre, but the Vicars Game/Casey fields Farm Shop (I think the two may have been linked in the past) to the West of Reading in Ashampstead is phenomenal.

In the past the butchers there have gone out the back and brought out half a cow to cut up to get the exact size of brisket I wanted.

I also think they are very good value as the quality of the meat is great.

It is a little bit of a drive out there, but if I can stock up then it is worth it.
