Well i suppose it was inevitable (for me anyway) left my one touch in a windy area of the back, hooked the lid onto the side of the kettle using the fitted little hook, a lively gust of wind came, gathered up the lid and promptly dropped it onto a flag. Luckily it could have been worse, the dent and ding and scratch and my sadness was limited to a 3 inch long deformity along the lip at the bottom of the lid. Some of the coating at the damaged area is now missing, and even with the dent the lid still fits (possibly better than before) but I've now a couple of questions:
do you think this will affect performance? I still managed a beer can chicken fairly easily
is there anything i should do as some steel is now showing
and finally, anyone else damaged a lid before? What did you do?
