hey there!

Hello. New here. I have at last - after years in a flat - gotten some space to do proper outdoors cooking. I'm pretty good at slow-cooking in stove or oven and very excited about my impending big BBQ purchase. And will be asap asking for recommendations about what I should buy.

Welcome to the forum. In my opinion you should look at the long term investment of a Weber Smokey Mountain. Also if you ever need advice about anything to do with Barbecue this is the place to look and ask for it. Everyone has always answered my question.

I am *very tempted* by the Smokey Mountain, but I think I will have to settle for a regular Weber one-touch for the moment - I want to maximise my cooking area (I like cooking up BIG FEASTS), and the 57cm Smokey Mountain is too far out of my budget, I think. Plus, I should still be able to do some slow cooking and some smoking in a regular kettle barbeque?

Would I be better off selling the cats on ebay to fund the Smokey Mountain, do you think, or will I be fine with a regular Weber kettle for at least a few years?

So I went for the nice big One Touch and it turned up today. Here it is all ready to go! I'm about to try it out with a lump of brisket.

Hi Marna

I have also gone the Weber. I am currently waiting on the one touch premium to arrive. I went for that, pretty much for the same reasons as you did.

Be great to hear how you been getting on with yours.
