Never the words a man wants to hear his wife say......
Today it appertained to an Weber Chimney starter. I have long expoused the virtues of an Weber chimney starter (search fekety fek dance) but I fear one of the SI units of BBQ can no longer be used.
"A chimneyful" has long been the standard unit for starting a big cook off, but I fear there is no longer an standard chimney. I purchased the small version today which seems splendid for my £15, but the one that caught my wifes eye was mahoosive, I reckon you could have fitted your head in it, I didn't try as Mrs T hates this sort of tomfoolery in garden centres but I reckon It was at least 50% bigger than the standard offering.
So beware a chimney full may no longer be a standard dose of coals.
On an unrelated note had a heft of an WSM 37cm, which I reckon is top good for the smaller family smoker, sadly don't think I will be getting one as my faithful guide dog was terrified of it for some reason, he is fine with all my other bbq but for some reason he has decided that the 37cm WSM is possessed of dark forces.........
Cheers
