Greetings from the BBQ capital of the World!!

Postby Musho » 23 Sep 2014, 16:39

Hi all..
Im actually from Dublin.. the disposable BBQ capital of the World! :)

So.. Ive been BBQin for about a year now..
Started with a weber 47 compact,
Moved to a 57 one touch premium in wave blue.. (TKMaxx for €140!!)

Now Im looking for a 57 WSM..
So where is the best(cheapest) place in the UK to buy atm? should I wait a few more weeks until the weather really sucks??

A quick story about how I got into BBQin.. I was in Austin April/May 2013.. Didnt realise we were going to be surrounded by so much authentic BBQ.
We did a trip to Lockhart and samples Smittys.. it was great fun and delicious.. and I was hooked!
Ill put up some pics once I figure out how to.. but Im sure you all have seen the place many times.

ok.. thats all for now. If anyone knows where to get a 57cm WSM cheap.. please let me know.. Cheapest I can find atm is £365.

Mush :)

Welcome.

£369 isn't a bad price. I bought a 47cm WSM recently and thought I'd have limitless options with people selling off stock coming into Autumn. However, Garden Centres don't seem to carry the WSM's so much and when they do they only get a few in, so not many going cheep. I did manage to get a good deal on a demo from a local garden centre though, but I had to trawl the Internet and make a few calls.

Good luck

You could buy a stacker that would turn your kettle into a smoker
