WSM 57cm purchased

Postby slatts » 27 Nov 2014, 22:08

So just won myself a 57cm WSM on ebay, 3 months old for £250 only used twice.

Happy man.

A question or 2 to any 57cm owners out there, is it a charcoal eater and will the pitmaster iq work well with it

Many thanks

Did a 12hr smoke on one the other day and still had quite a bit of charcoal left. PIQ is fine with it, have you got a dog bowl type of adaptor for it?

It can eat fuel if left in the wrong position or you leave the vents open.
I use mine with the IQ110 and never had a problem with it.
Two chimneys of unlit briquettes and 3/4 chimney of lit and I can get an easy 12 hrs at 225F. As the temp starts to drop off I can get another 6 hrs of 225F- 150F, enough to hot smoke my bacon after the main cook.
Enjoy it, I have never looked back.

Hi All

Thanks but isn't the bbqguru battery operated? i don't really want to rely on batteries during night cooks.
I've been building garden decking and have to finish the cooking area in the spring but have electrics run so I can use a pitmasterIQ

What's the delivery times on the IQ Toby, she should be ordering it this week I hope.

Many thanks
