Hey yall,

I'm Richard and ive been wanting to get a smoker for about 2 years now and ready to bite the bullet....pun intended

Ideally I would get me a proq but have been getting a house and married so not had the cash, however having seen DJBenz post on the TecTake rather than wait another year to save up some cash i'm going to take the plunge with that now, see how it goes. I love getting the grill on so im sure i will love this!

I've just got back from stars and stripes at tatton park so pretty Americanised ill order it this week and get on it.

I always appreciate tips and advice so if you have anything additional, or think the TecTake is a horrendous move please feel free to drop me a msg.

I know your intentions are good as you want to get started but sometimes is a case of buy cheap buy twice and can spoil the experience.

The TECTAKE I believe is made out of very thin material (it would at under £30) and as such will probably not hold temperature well and you may struggle on a long cook. If money is an issue at the moment go for a UDS (if you have DIY skills) or a Brinkmann each at less than £100 :D
