Hello from Barnet

Postby thewinelake » 09 Nov 2015, 15:16

Hi,

I'm a regular user of a g*s barbecue. Not sure if this place regards such things as sacrilege, but I really need speed and convenience unless it's a special occasion.

Thing is that my gas BBQ is on its last legs - I feel that it's beginning to get risky, so time to get a new one. Where's the best part of the forum to get suggestions? One that looked interesting to me was the Char-Broil Performance 36G - about £400. But I'm interested to know if there's a good time to buy a BBQ - eg. when is promotion season? Any other Char-Broil "TRU Infrared" users around?

Cheers,
Alex

Not sure about gas BBQ's as never owned one but I would say now is offer time as the season for BBQ is over for most British folk but for a true BBQ'er/smoker all year round is BBQ season

Maybe. It doesn't always work like that, though!

Normally September October is a good time but that's for run of the mill units. I would imagine that upper end models dont drop much as they are intended for enthusiasts that don't have a season so to speak.

That makes sense. This is kind of mid-market. I would expect to see deals in the Spring. Nothing much to be gained from discounting them now?

I'd second that, just as easy as a gasser but so much better flavour
