Steve, Love how you took the picture with doc in the background :-)

Lee found some bacon perfume - he obviously wants some!!

I do love the smell of bacon more than the taste but I wouldn't wanna wear the smell

I'm sat in the garden enjoying a quiet beer after a hard day's decorating. Only place to put the bacon salt was on the laptop.

Now I want bacon, fortunately I have some fantastic dry cured streaky in the fridge :D

I first got this stuff a couple of years ago in KC along with some bacon soap. Bought them as novelty items but the bacon salt rocks. Wifey loves smell and taste of bacon but doesn't eat actual bacon ??????? So I use this in cheese and onion twice baked potatoes. It's fantastic.

American sweets sells it :D

I've never seen that but I do put slowly grilled crispy bacon in the spice grinder to make bacon dust.

No as I said in my original post bacon DUST, your photo clearly as per the label is bacon SALT.

You going to enlighten us with more detail on what this dust is then?

I have seen bacon bits at Costco, which are made by Schwartz and look like they are meant for sprinkling on salad. Not seen dust. Is it something you had shipped over or is it available in the UK.

Hi Al, you havent given any indication of what you are talking about, is it a brand like Dixie dust which isnt actually a dust? Do you have a link or more information which would avoid the confusion? Dust is just small particles so it could be anything. A suggestion shouldnt be put down just because it wasnt the exact product you were talking about.

The bacon dust I mentioned came from a Mike Mills recipe as an ingredient for BBQ sauce

I saw the same or similar post Al put on the brethren. I think it is pretty much the same principle as what John has responded with according to Al's update there.

Funny though, Larry from BBQ Grail said the same thing about cryptic posts lol
