What are you paying?

I thought it might be an idea to put up a price comparison thread for BBQ meats so that we can all see how prices change accross the country and see if we think we're getting ripped off on some items.Hers a start.

Ribs St. Louis cut...{France} [@ 12- 16 racks per 10kg box] £2.85 per kg....[not meaty enough for my liking...virtually no waste]

Ribs Spares ...{Spain} [@ 5- 6 racks very meaty per 10 kg box} £2.85 per kg [ yery meaty but too much waste]

Ribs Spares ...[Germany] [7- 8 racks meaty per 10 kg box] £2.85 per kg [ some shiners, no waste]

Skin on, bone in belly ...[Free range local Gloucester Old Spot] £2.45 per kg [very meaty.some trim/ waste]

Pork Shoulder [neck end skin on, bone in, local] £2.80 per kg [ good quality. some waste]

Pork Shoulder [neck end , skin on local Gloucester Old Spot] £3.88 per kg [great quality, some waste]

Beef Brisket [whole packer British or Irish[ £3.80 per kg [great quality]

Beef Brisket {whole packer U.S.grain fed] £4.54 per kg [prime/choice]

Ribs Spares ......[N.Ireland, 12 ribs/rack, 10 racks] £2.80 per kg [ very meaty, no waste]

Pork Shoulder ...[ N.Ireland, de-boned, trimmed + rolled into a roast] £2.40 per kg [ good quality, no waste]

Beef Brisket .....{N.Ireland, trimmed] £3.10 per lb [quite thin, approx 35-40mm]

His charge on the brisket was quite expensive in relation to Jokers contacts, but he does rear his own cattle and hangs all his meat. Pork isn't imported.
